Metro (Метро) was a hard rock band from Serbia and Yugoslavia, founded in Jagodina in 1981. The group first drew wider notice after taking the Audience’s Choice Second Prize at the 1982 Youth Festival in Subotica and also appearing at the Belgrade Rock Festival. Their debut album, *Čupave glave*, came out in 1983 on PGP-RTB. That same year, they opened for the Serbian band Divlje Jagode on a tour across Serbia, and on 18 March 1983, they were the opening act for British heavy metal band Saxon at Belgrade’s Pionir Hall. In May 1983, the Maksimović brothers and drummer Zdravo Lalić left the group; vocalist Branko Savić led a new lineup until the band broke up in May 1985. The band reunited in July 1991 with Savić and a fresh lineup. A second, more heavy metal–oriented album, *Eksplozija*, was released in 1995 through ITMM. From 1993 to 1997, Metro played at every Gitarijada festival and frequently performed at motorcycle club events, until disbanding again in 1997. In early 2010, Savić and the Maksimović brothers recorded and released the single "Ona je kao zver." Savić reformed the band in 2016. Petar Maksimović died on 19 June 2014; Ivan Maksimović died on 8 November 2019.

Metro was formed in September 1981 in Jagodina by brothers Ivan 'Ivica' Maksimović (guitar) and Petar 'Pera' Maksimović (bass guitar), and Branko 'Brix' Savić (vocals). The default lineup also included Zdravo Lalić (drums) and Saša Krstić (keyboards). The band saw larger media attention after their performances at the 1982 Youth Festival in Subotica, where they won the Audience's Choice Second Prize, and at the Belgrade Rock Festival.
