Concrete Sun formed in September 2007 in Novi Sad, Serbia. Initial progress was halted by lineup changes and a yearlong hiatus in 2009. The band eventually solidified with Strahinja Cerovina on lead vocals, Budimir Živković and Strahinja Stojković on guitars, Stevan Fujto on bass, and Aleksandar Savić on drums. Their debut album Sky Is High was self-released in August 2011 and received positive reviews on stoner rock outlets such as Heavyplanet, Doommantia, and The Ripple Effect. The album was later officially released through Miner Recordings in December 2012. Their second album Eight followed in February 2014, also via Miner Recordings, containing eight tracks.
