Fernando Colunga Ultimate Experience began in 2010 as a casual side-project by its founding members Marko Živković, Stefan Milenković, and Antonio Jovanović. The band's name was inspired by the Mexican actor Fernando Colunga, whom the lineup compared to Chuck Norris due to the vast number of characters Colunga had portrayed. Early work blended grindcore with parodic lyrics about soap operas and figures like Steven Seagal.

The band took a more professional direction after releasing their studio album Toxic Hog Cult in 2012, moving away from grindcore toward a Death and roll style. In 2019, FCUE gained considerable notoriety in Latin American media, especially in Mexico, because of their distinctive name. That year they released the single Inhale My Misery, which the online magazine Helly Cherry described as stylistically completely different from anything recorded during the band's first three years. A subsequent single, La Usurpadora, continued the band's musical maturation and received relatively positive acceptance among new fans.

A demo song, Dia de Muertos, was published on November 1, the date of Mexico's Day of the Dead. According to German music distributor Fangtasia Music, this work returned to a style more similar to the band's oldest songs, combining slamming death metal and grindcore.
