Lore & Background
Forever Storm was formed at the end of 2006 by Miloš Miletić (guitar), Stefan Kovačević (guitar, vocals), and Vladimir Nestorović (bass guitar). After using a rhythm machine for early demos, they were joined by drummer Vuk Stefanović in early 2007. That year, they competed at the 41st Gitarijada festival and performed at Exit festival. In 2008, they won first place at the Crvenka competition of rock bands. Their debut album Soul Revolution was released at the end of 2009 through One Records, with cover art by comic book artist Bane Kerac. Keyboardist Nikola Marić joined in 2010 after participating in the album's recording. The band performed on the Wacken Open Air W.E.T. stage that year and appeared on the TV show 'Rat Bendova' on OBN, leading to a regional tour. In July 2012, they won a contest at Avala Rock Fest.
Reader's Guide
Forever Storm's significance lies in their consistent recognition within the Serbian metal scene, with two albums—Soul Revolution and From Ashes to Eternity—named Album of the Year by Serbian Metal Portal. Their second album, Tragedy, released in December 2013 by EBM Records from Mexico City, became one of the label's best-selling foreign releases. The band's regional tours across Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and North Macedonia, along with an appearance at Croatia's Underwall Festival, solidified their presence in the Balkan metal community. Their 2023 concept album From Ashes to Eternity, recorded over nearly seven years and sung entirely in Serbian, marked a notable artistic shift and was self-released, reflecting their independent direction. The band's members have also been active in other projects, including ALEK, The Evil One, For My Cold Dead Hands, and Black Crown Empire, contributing to the broader Kragujevac music scene.
